Outside the Border #2

Another very unique glass construction. On this piece, the glass is layered to create a 3D effect. The top layer is head glass. Head glass is created during the pouring of a sheet of glass, while it's still molten, the edges are trimmed off. The trim is the head glass and each piece has it's own unique curves and folds. Pressed glass and brass embellishments are added to finish out the look. The frame is gilded in antique gold and the piece measures 12” x 12”. There are 3 pieces in this collection.
